Guerra King Celebrates Black History Month

The highlight of Black History Month, however, came with Guerra King’s sponsorship of the Black History Month Reception hosted by the George Edgecomb Bar Association and the Fred G. Minnis, Sr. Bar Association on February 28. The Reception was awe-inspiring as Doretha Edgecomb discussed the life and legacy of her late husband, Judge George Edgecomb, who became the first black judge in Hillsborough County in 1973 at just 31 years old. Judge Edgecomb died tragically just a few years later at the age of 33, but his short life created a legacy that transcends time.
