Guerra King Members Honored By Super Lawyers

After more than 35 years of practice, Burt Wiand has become known as a lawyer who businesses and individuals involved in business turn to when dealing with the most difficult of legal circumstances. His practice includes white-collar criminal defense, defense of regulatory matters involving governmental agencies and self-regulatory organizations and complex litigation matters that threaten the business and reputation of his clients. Recently at the suggestion of the SEC, Wiand was appointed by the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida as the Receiver for the $400 million Ponzi scheme of Arthur Nadel.
Michael Lamont has litigated complex commercial and financial disputes for almost a decade. His practice includes representation of brokerage firms, financial institutions, corporations and their associated persons in courts and arbitration, and the defense of regulatory matters involving governmental agencies and self-regulatory organizations. Mr. Lamont’s practice also includes the representation of federal receivers appointed in SEC enforcement proceedings.
Maya Lockwood’s practice includes representation of brokerage firms, financial institutions, corporations, and their associated persons in arbitration, litigation in state and federal courts and in investigations and proceedings before state and federal regulatory agencies and self-regulatory organizations. Ms. Lockwood’s practice also includes the representation of federal receivers appointed in SEC enforcement proceedings.
