On March 5, 2014, by motion of the Florida Office of Financial Regulation (“OFR”), Circuit Court Judge Anthony Rondolino appointed Burton W. Wiand as Receiver over Tri-Med Corporation and Tri-Med Associates, Inc. (the “Receivership Entities). The OFR’s pending action in the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County alleges that the Receivership Entities and certain individual defendants perpetrated a fraudulent investment scheme involving the offering and sale of unregistered securities that raised at least $16 million from hundreds of investors. Guerra King’s attorney Jared Perez is serving as primary counsel to the Receiver. For more information on this receivership, please visit the receivership website by clicking here.
