Federal Receiver May Take His Fight With Venice Officials To The FAA


VENICE – A U.S. District Court judge on Thursday cleared the way for the federal receiver in the Arthur G. Nadel fraud case to file a Federal Aviation Administration complaint against the city.

The complaint could force Venice officials to grant permits for new hangars at the Venice Jet Center, or risk losing control of the municipal airport.

The City Council has for months refused to permit four hangars at the Jet Center formerly owned by Nadel and now under the control of receiver Burton Wiand.
