Eric is a commercial litigator, focusing a significant portion of his practice on the financial-services industry where he represents broker/dealers, investment advisors, and their associated persons in federal and state court and arbitration. Eric regularly defends against customer investment claims and represents parties in promissory note collection and employment proceedings. Eric also represents clients in regulatory matters before government agencies and self-regulatory authorities such as the SEC and FINRA. Eric has successfully tried several cases to award in arbitration.
In addition to his financial-services practice, Eric counsels businesses and their members in a variety of commercial litigation cases, including shareholder and partner disputes, as well as breach of contract and other non-compete and restrictive covenant matters.
Eric earned both his B.S and J.D., with honors, from the University of Florida. Prior to joining Guerra King, Eric was a member of the broker/dealer group at an international Am Law 50 firm. He is a Tampa-Bay native and is happily married with two sons.
