Guerra & Partners

Amanda Stephens joined the firm in February of 2015 and assists the Guerra & Partners team in conducting research, drafting legal documents, managing discovery requests and responses, and is hands-on in guiding cases from inception to arbitration or trial. Amanda also serves as the Investor Liaison in the Receivership matters, assisting and communicating with hundreds of investors effected by Ponzi schemes.

Amanda originally majored in nursing but found a passion for law from her mother, who was a Paralegal for an immigration firm. Amanda is a Florida Notary Public and started her legal career in Sarasota working on real estate, personal injury and medical malpractice cases. She later transitioned to St. Petersburg where she currently lives and worked for many years on tobacco litigation with a prior firm, resulting in multimillion dollar trial awards. She also has experience with criminal and probate matters. Amanda’s interest in the financial world ultimately led her to Guerra & Partners where she is a pivotal part of FINRA regulatory disputes for clients.

Amanda has always been very active in her community volunteering for numerous organizations, including serving on the Board of Directors for Epilepsy Services Foundation, a local nonprofit, from 2017-present, and serving as a Pinellas County Guardian ad litem for over five years, where she advocated for the best interest and needs of Pinellas County’s abused and neglected children. She also served with The Ronald McDonald House in St. Petersburg and was an active voice for The Rent Tent Women’s Initiative, helping promote awareness of the need for supportive treatment for incarcerated women.
